well been looking for a 57 chevy for quite a while, and have found one for the right price. It's straight with a ground up resto and a 69 427 sitting under the hood :D The only problem is, if I get this toy, the X will have to stay stock, can't afford 2 toys. I've wanted a 57 since I was a kid, but I also like having no bills  Think it might come down to what interest rate I get on financing, but what do you all think?

This maybe too personal but how much would a restored 57 Chevy cost now a days?

for a standard belair-210 model roughly $20-40k. Throw in a convertible or fuel injection and $55-85k.

looks like you might have to, nobody wants to give me a loan :fire: I'm still looking, but I'm not going with some crazy finance fee. If I can't get this one I'll save for one year and get another. By the way, this would mean the skyjacker 6in lift might be for sale.

alright, it all comes down to this weekend. Someone is coming to look at it this weekend. If they don't buy it, it's mine. If they do, the search is back on. So fingers are crossed.

alrighty, time to end this thread... on a sad note :( someone else bought the car on sunday, didn't know dealerships were open on sunday. So now I'm totally bummed :( I have resolved to buy one sometime this year and now I'm going to step up to the 502 crate motor  I figure after my summer fun of fishing, camping, etc are done I'll start looking again, and I'll post pics when I find it.

well I'm in alaska and the plan was to buy it and store it in my dad's garage for 3 years. My dad's garage is heated/air conditioned and big enough to hold 25-30 57's :D I WILL buy one this year and that's where it's gonna go. Thinking 502 with a 4L80E and a dana 60 with 4.88's. I'm really building it to be a cruiser, but I don't wanna lose any stoplight wars.
