When I step on the gas about 50% throttle and start going through the rmp band I can hear the engine and also a loud rattle sound like a rattle snake tail. It is escpecially loud when driving between to concrete medians or under a bridge with walls on either side because it echos back. It sounds like someone is pouring tons of marbles onto eachother when on the throttle almost equally as loud as the engine. I'm thinking it could be the timming chain but not sure exactly what it is. Any ideas?

Does this noise happen between the 2,000 and 3,000 RPM range? I get timing chain noise between 2,500 and 3,000 RPM, but I know it varies by engine.

i think im getting the noise at 2500 rpm. can i change the tensioners on a 06 4.0

I get this noise between 2700 rpm and 3100 rpm. What is it. Is my chain about to go?
