Oil Pan Gasket

It shouldn't. It's bolted tight to the block. If anything was to give out when using the impact gun, it would be the bolt, it would just snap off. One of the bolts on the passenger side gave me trouble. I had to let the air compressor build up pressure and dial the impact as high as I could but it loosened up. If you're really worried about that, you could have a buddy hold a torch to the flange, even propane or mapp gas. That or soak it in PB Blaster for as long as possible beforehand.

I'll try to soak all the bolts I can that I think might be problematic for a day or two beforehand. After that I'll just see what happens. Hopefully I can get it changed without too much headache.
Thanks again for all the answers.

Can you tell me where this piece goes. Is it needed? does it lay on top of the gasket once its seated in the pans groove
