I have a Panasonic Deck in dash CD player. When I drive anywhere cold (where I have to run the heater) for any legth of time, my deck gets so hot it can't be good for it. Eventually the CD will automatically kick out and the deck will disply "E-2". The CD is hot to the touch.
Last time it happened, I noticed that the entire control panel was HOT (especially right around the temp. control knob). Is this inherent to Explorers (I heard the firewall might be too close/thin or something), or do I have a short somewhere?
