    Hey all,
Other than my intro post, this'll be my first. I'm an Explorer Forum FNG, but I saw this thread and couldn't resist! I'm proud to say that I just returned from an awesome road trip to Missouri to pick up our brand new 20 foot custom-built utility trailer! My little guy was in charge of making sure the trailer lugnuts were tight at every stop. He did a fine job and those wheels stayed on the trailer 'til we were safe at home.
Not only am I a forum newbie, but also a trailer-pulling virgin! Just over 162,000 miles on the ticker and she still pulls strong - thanks to all the sound maintenance advice of many fine people here on Explorer Forum!

Nice! That's a beautiful trailer. Anything in particular you're using it for?

Thanks! Mainly using it to haul a '54 Chevy 210 around to various vendors for metalwork, paint, etc. Next trip is to Elmer, MO for metalwork - performed by a guy who worked with George Barris (RIP) on a few hot rod projects. For those unfamiliar with George Barris, he created the original Batmobile - a King among men!

yes sir! this is an old pic, i recently went 1 x 10 conversion on the chain ring. ill have to post a pic later. it took a little getting used to, but now i love it. so simple, less things to think about when riding and maintenance, and the weight loss has been nice.

I'm still on a three ring setup...haha. The simplicity of a one ring setup sounds nice.

Anyway, don't want to steer this thread too off-topic. :p

This is the reason I bought my 2003 explorer Eddie Bauer. It's got the 4.6 and tow package. Currently at 177k miles.

17 ft bass tracker pulls like it's not even there.

This was moving my mom 330 miles from Alabama to Kentucky. Recorded 8 miles per gallon loaded and 9 miles per gallon unloaded.[IMG]

Completely filled 5x8x5.5 trailer, with additional cargo in the rear and roof, I used to move from northwest MT to Houston, TX. Zero issues on the 2k+ mile trip spread over 3 days. My MPG sat around 12-13 for the whole trip, and temps never left the safe range. Not too bad for a 18 year old Explorer with 201k miles (204k now).
