I just put mine in a few days ago. Eventually, I'll be cutting a slice out of the the original storage tray or building a new "stow pouch" to make better use of the empty space down there.

I like Arnie's setup. I also opted for the Cobra C75-WSX. I like the fact you don't need to cut up the interior alot, and none at all if you choose. I will probably make a mounting hole for the mic plug in the side of the storage cubby (I'll take pics when this is done). Right now I'm using a magenetic mount antenna, I will eventually go to a permenant mount, I just havent figured out where the placement will be.

It's always nice to pic up an external speaker for that model too. The little one in the handset doesn't always cut the mustard.

There's my old setup. I wired the power to the radio so it would turn on only when the keys are in, and sent the wire for the antenna back through the center of the truck under the seats, then made some spacers and mounted the antenna on the back passenger side of the bumper.

Before and after shots, and yes before it was all said and done the CB, seats, and ash tray/glove box/bottom of the dash were completely underwater and to this day the CB still works.

Just noticed this update. That's a nice clean install. The two radios fit in there perfectly. Nice job!
