These are not Photo Shop pictures. They have been reduced to 100megs to download here.

It just wasn't mine or my daughter's time to go yet. This would have been the time and place if it were.

The witness to the accident said we went about 5 feet in the air flipping for about 3 seconds and then impacted the ground. From there we skid upside down for approx 40 feet.

Man...sorry, sorry, sorry....Hope you get well soon. Are the other folks ok? I HATE the 'rear end at fault' type laws. I had nearly the same thing happen in a left turn lane, where the jerk pulled out of line 10 ft or so in front of me at about 35MPH. I actually believe this guy was one of those insurance scammer, because I SAW HIM LOOK IN THE MIRROR (We made eye contact) AND LITTERALLY JERK HIS STEERING WHEEL TO THE LEFT!!! I stood on the brakes, and fortunately was able to miss him by inches......Who would have gotten the ticket? Of course the innocent guy who was in the lane alone making a legal left turn....for failure to control, or speed inappropriate or some other crap....Anywhoo Ron, just glad you two are ok. God must indeed have plans for a master detailer and protoge'.

Ah man, I can't stand to see this. After all I've seen you go through w/ that truck in the past months, I didn't think it could get any worse. Good news is, you're OK, which is the most important thing, and you can get to work soon building another awesome X.

Aw man. That was one of the best looking Explorers I know of. Good to know you made it fine, and that these trucks protect people inside pretty well.

If you look real close in the rear end of the 3rd and 4th pictures, you can see the Alpine amp doors open. But the rack is still intact to the floor. Could you imagine if all of that stuff became airborne with us.

The person who took these pictures and came over today to give them to me was telling me some things he saw and heard. He heard the tires squealing as the Explorer was out of control going side to side before impact. After impact of the 2nd car, he said we went airborne about 5feet in the air and the explorer actually did a full air flip before hitting the ground. That must have been when my glasses came off my face and were thrown from the vehicle. If not for seatbelts, I would still be wearing those glasses.

Sorry to see and hear what happened.
Glad you and your daughter are ok.

At least you or your daughter don't need stitches in the back of your heads from airborne amps.
Nice to see at least something is left.

Okay...When I get home tonight, I'm going to clean out all the crap in the back of my Explorer. I hate to think what might happen if any of that got airborn during a wreck.

      Regards,
      John.

      Ouch dude....

Hate to see bad things happen to good people. Now I know what my X will look like rolled over, kinda like a turtle on it's back. On top of all that you get a ticket (I read the other thread)? F*#k 'em BBQ, they wern't there with you while you were doing what you could to control the situation. Keep your head up, hug and give your daughter a kiss on the forehead and THAT (my friend) is what matters. Family first... I sorry I don't know you other than what I see in front of me on this site. I guess God luvs even us Explorer people. It just goes to show you, even with all the "Roll over" press that they scream about the SUVs, that they are still pretty damn safe. Even with all that weight on the roof that there is minimal crushing of the cab. Heal up and see ya on the roads soon...
