I have a 05 XLT my dash lights and brake lights do not work. The fuse keeps blowing. But they work when I use the turn signala and put on the breaks. What do I do?

      Welcome aboard! :salute:

I am a little confused.

You say the lights don't work but they do work when you use them?

      A little more info please!

If I turn on my headlights the rear lights do not come on. But if I push on the brake lights or use my turn signals they work.

So the brake lights and turn signal lights work but the tail lights do not?

Start by checking the bulbs. While your are checking the bulbs, inspect the wires for damage. Mice love the insulation on the wires. Having a meter or test light is your best friend.

There are 3 wires going into each socket as follows:

      Left rear light:

      Turn Signal: Dark Blue/White
      Tail Light: Brown
      Ground: Black

      Right Rear Light:

      Turn Signal: Brown/Yellow
      Tail Light: Brown
      Ground: Black

Good luck and be sure to keep us posted!
