..This is the spot where you can share and post pictures of your bicycle trips, courses, and also the trails and places you ride in your area..

..Feel free to share the stuff you see while out riding your bike or even the scenery that you get to enjoy on your bike ride...:biggthump

..But if you want to share your bike specs and pictures of it, post them in this other thread here..;)

Since this is a picture thread, let's perhaps limit the number of pictures posted per day from each person to 3 or 4 so that this thread doesnt scroll too far vertically. We don't want the entire album posted on this thread, just a glance of what your ride was like. If you do have a ton of pics, you can always post up a link (as Tbars did) to another thread, or album, or Flickr page, etc...

I'd like to start riding more...my friend gave me a cheapo Schwinn mtn. bike when he got a new one and it's in great condition, good enough to get the blood pumpin'. With the temps quickly on the rise here i see myself making trips to the beach and riding there.

Sounds like a plan! Make it happen!

This is from today at Waterton Canyon near Littleton, CO. The first 6-6.5 miles of the trail is actually a service road that follows a river up to a dam. Then the trail climbs "over" the dam and the Colorado Trail really begins. The Colorado Trail goes from here to somewhere in the southwest part of the state. I only rode about 1.5 miles or so up to what's called Lenny's Rest (a bench dedicated to a kid who was killed a few years ago). From here there are several loops you can ride, but I just did an out-and-back.

I've ridden this trail a dozen times or so and only a couple times I haven't seen a group of big horn sheep standing on the road:

We got a few inches of snow earlier in the week, this is about all that was left of it:

And the single track! This section is fairly pristine- smooth, not too many rocks. A lot of other trails in the area are so rocky...... I ride a hard tail so I like smooth.

    ...Cool scenic pictures all ..:biggthump

..and to see a small herd of Bighorn sheep is always awesome let alone being able to see them at the same location repeatedly..

..The bike with the small pile of snow is classic and something I would seek out shooting myself..:)

..It looks like you are pulling stills from your GoPro...

..How are you able to do that or are you using a program like Adobe?

I actually just took screen captures of the video. I think next time, I'm going to try and just take a shot every 10-30 seconds. I like the view from the chest mount, but the video is shaky. I wish I could mount it somewhere else on the bike and get a good view that shows some "action."

Busted out the bike today, first time in months.
It's a 10 year old Kona Fire Mountain that I picked up for free from my boss.
I did NOT leave pavement, but there's good scenery anyway :D
    1. Coming down out of the hills
    2. The ocean! Turned around here.
    3. heading back home.
    4. back on my 'street'. I'm in the house at the very far end in this pic.

Almost halfway through power training month and what a perfect morning it was to climb mountains.

I'll be pulling mine out this weekend for some casual riding because I have a 3 mile sprint race coming up in two weeks... and about a month after is a team triathlon and I am doing the bike ride portion (18 miles). So I need to get my ass in gear or I'm not going to do as well as I should be able to do.

So a few of my friends and I left at 6am yesterday to do a scouting ride at North Fork, West Virginia and holy crap my jaw dropped to the valley floor at each and every lookout. This is the most epic trail I've ever done.

    of course, me:

the ridge we just rode laced with raw singletrack full of hike-a-bikes, rocks, and everything else. 18 miles away at the other end of that ridge is my Civic:

a panoramic at the thinnest section of the ridge, dropp-offs on both sides:

and so on and so forth:
