Well I use to have a 91 2wd explorer sport, and you could say i took it offroading a fair bit, but here in columbia there arn't much good trails with thick mud, its just a bunch of 1-2 foot deep water holes that a bunch of trucks go through, and i got my engine flooded, i took my truck in a water hole that was to deep for my standard truck. But about a month ago i got a 95 xlt 4wd 4door explorer, does this truck prevent floodage better or is there anything i can do to prevent some water from getin in my engine?

      being careful for one :)

an open element air filter will help, as you won't create suction through the stock airscoop. The KKM is a good kit, www.kustomz.com

Besides that, know your truck's limits and be careful.

      And welcome!
