Is it just me or does anybody else think the piaa 90's are blatantly overpriced? What are you all running as cheaper yet adequate substitute?

      These might be affordable: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7939772134&category=33709
I dont like projector fog lights. I like the extra (scatter) light that a MSR or lensed type light puts out. Also having the driving light as low as the fog light doesnt allow it to light up the road as well as having it mounted higher.
Having both driving & fog in one light seems like a good idea & looks good but IMO it doesnt work near as well as having two sets of lights.

I have to say I love my PIAA's and they are combo lights. Not like the 90's though. Mine are mounted at headlamp hight and the reflectors throw the light in the appropriate spots depending on fog or projectors. Check this thread for my review of the PIAA 525...have to scroll to the bottom though, the thread started with me asking for other people's reviews of the 525's. PIAA 525 review

Also, the best prices I have found online are at GForce Auto Sports and they ship promptly.

Berkel and Bill....I checked out those 520's nice.. I would love to run them but I need something that will improve visibility while driving on the "unlit highways of Ohio" Obviosly I don't want to blind anyone but I have sub-par nightvision so I do need more White Light. The piaa 90's look good and are in line w/ the direction I want to take the X (street) So do you all have any suggestions as to what I could run?
      Other than the 90's

Replace your fog lights with these: http://search.ebay.com/catz-msr_W0QQsojsZ1QQfromZR40 These are the best lights for their size I have ever tried. I have them on the Mtneer & the Cad.
For driving lights you can put PIAA 1500s in your upper grill. Or you can put PIAA 60XTs in your lower grill.
The upper grill wont support lights much heaveier than the 1500s. For the lower grill you can run a piece or perforated angle steel between the bumper bolts that you can then mount lights to. Hella driving lights would be a good choice in the lower grill also. Either the FF300 or the FF100 look good there.
