Help! Had the symptoms of a bad vacuum modulator on 94 Ranger 2WD 3.0 L. Removed and replaced vac mod with adjustable version. Followed the steps from Brooklyn Bay's responses on this site.
After everything was back in place, pin and all (plus oil change), we started up the truck. She smokes so bad now, thick white, sorta blue smoke from the exhaust, so thick you can't see through it. If you step on the accelerator, the smoke just gets thicker.
Would appreciate any advice. Things just went from bad (regular smoke and going through lots of ATF and oil changes) to worse (exhaust smoke looking like something's on fire). Might just put the old vac mod back in...
