      SubForum Name

I see the name of this sub-forum has changed.

To me, the new name is too long, hard to read, and somewhat confusing.

Seeing as the correct name of the Mazda-badged trucks is "B-Series", I think the sub-forum name should be "Ford Ranger/Mazda B-Series Forum".

      What do we think?

..Got a question so be gentle..:D

..I noticd the Ford Ranger sub forum has received a new name change to "Ford Ranger Mazda B3000 B4000 Forum"..

...Just curious about why it's added as the "Mazda B3000 B4000" and not just "B Series" added on..

...There are lot's of US owners looking on the net for information that have let's say, a B2300 while Internationally they have other B series models with some of them being re-badged as Ford Rangers and in Australia as the Courier..

...Being a fan of all the Ford Rangers and Mazda B Series trucks it caught my eye and I was wondering why it was limited to just those two models?

      ...Just thought I would ask..:salute:

I thought of that, but that would also include the likes of the Mazda B2000 B2200 which aren't RBV. They are true Japanese Mazdas. Whaddya think??

      ...Just chatting...:D

..I guess it depends on the market you are targeting to draw the most interest and gather revenue from..:dunno:

      From here..
      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Ranger

...I see this as an opportunity to draw more people to this Forum..I hate to see anyone alienated from the loads of information stored on this site and would and have always wanted to see the Ranger and it's International relatives information to be found accessible here rather than on other Forums.

..I think it's great when we get other enthusiast from other countries sharing their differences in the same named or similar vehicles we have in post and threads..:biggthump

      _______________________________________________________________

..A couple quick thoughts come to mind on the Japan part..

..Although I am relatively still new to the Ranger world,(not to be confused with the F-series Rangers that have stumbled to this Forum and also sought and found help here), I don't remember anyone from Japan posting/looking on this or other Forums for Mazda B Series information although it would be nice to talk with them even though most of their trucks are long gone or rare as in the US Ford Courier (but we have had a couple courier owners seek this site out and get help)...They would have to seek somewhere else for information, Why not this great site?..:dunno:

...IIRC, Tokyo, if not all of Japan is required to turn in their motors for a new one every year or so due to their smog laws..

...I have a close friend from Japan that is sent over here and back as a mechanic for Japanese race teams that I'm sure that could help us out in those rare instances..

...Just wanting to share information with everyone with similar vehicles and thought putting Mazda B3000 B4000 series leaves a lot of people out...Of course we don't need to add the Sundowner, the Marvie, the Proceed, or the Bravo...

..But if they saw we catered to the "B Series", wouldn't it be a plus instead of them seeking another Forum somewhere else that wasn't limited to the B 3000 and B 4000?

The Few, The Proud, The Ranger Owners..:salute:

      ^^^I added that myself...:D

But don't forget about the B2300 - the 4-cylinder version RBV...

I have nothing against the Japanese B series. I owned two. A B2200 2wd, and then a B2600I 4x4. I'll change the title and if we bring in some new blood, that will be fine.:chug:

...Thanks a bunch Rick for taking the time and reviewing our concerns..:salute:

...Hopefully we can get a bunch of Mazda B 2300 owners in here as the 4 cylinder crowd is often left out...In fact, I think we only have a few 4 cylinder Rangers here..

      ..Again, Thanks..:D
