Easiest way IMO...
Open hatch glass. Remove the "C" clips on the rear glass struts, the ones to the glass itself, and pop both struts off the post that is attached to the glass. At the top of the glass you will see two "button top" bolts on the inside of the glass. Take a T-20 Torx to loosen and remove those.
Having two people to do this will be very helpful, but is possible by yourself after you see how things are attached.
Be vary careful when reinstalling those "button top" bolts. They are easily cross-threaded, and easily stripped out.
