Some cretin yanked too hard trying to pilfer from my Explorer (it was locked, they didn't get anything) but they did break the left rear passenger door handle. I got a new one from Rock Auto on the way, but thought I'd check here first. Anyone replace one of these? Any tricks or tips before I pull off the door panel?

Thanks for the help ahead of time.

Nobody on here has ever replaced one of these door handles?

I guess not, but that should be close enough:

Sometimes you forget that YouTube these days has EVERYTHING. They even have 3 or 4 year 2006 rear-door specific videos. Looks like a piece-o'-pie. On my list for this weekend.

Yep, I love YouTube University :)

In the end, it was easy ....except for..... getting your hand to the rear bolt. They make it look easy in the video, but my deep-socket was too long and a smaller socket kept getting caught on an edge and flipped off to fall into the bottom of the door well. Add an extension magnet to the list of tools needed.
