Had some stumbling on the way down to FL the other day. Mid-range acceleration, so I suspected a vacuum leak or plugs or coil pack. Seems though it was the fuel filter that had some restriction.
Before changing the filter I had purchased a TPS from O'reilly's, but it was bad out of the box. I used an ohmmeter to check the original Ford TPS and it never missed a beat. So I just got my money back from O'reilly's.
The fuel filter seems to have solved it, though I'm keeping watch on the gas cap venting properly also.
Change those fuel filters every 30K or so.

Yeah, I write everything in the shop manual and owners' manual. It was a DuraLast from Auto Zone, I believe. New clips didn't fit,but the old ones were good. I always save the old clips.
The old one probably had at least 30K on it. Easy to forget that the fuel pump has to work harder tp force fuel thru a dirty, partially clogged filter.
