Try reprogram the remote. Do a search on how to reprogram the remote.

No no no...what I meant is that your remote itself needs to be reprogrammed. You don't need to go to the module and mess with it. Here's how you reprogram the remote:

Gather all your remotes. You can program up to 4 remotes.

Close all doors including the liftgate and liftgate glass

Put your ignition key and turn from "off" to "on" without starting the engine for 5 times ending at the "on" position

The door locks should then lock then unlock indicating you're in programming mode

Press a button on the remote, the door locks will respond by locking then unlocking

Repeat the step if you have other remotes to program

Then turn the ignition off and your remotes should work

      Good luck! :)

BTW, the module is in the driver's side rear quarter panel.

wonder if something is broke, electric locks work fine from inside and key works fine also, just the remote quit working and i think when it did the anti-theft and the auto-lock feature quit also, with the auto-lock i'm referring to when you put vehicle in reverse the doors use to lock, but not now.

To try to fix your autolock feature, try this:
      http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98353&highlight=disable+autolock

I've got a similar problem but my X will not lock with the driver/passenger switch, keyfob (transmitter), or keypad - but they will unlock with each fine. Also, my luggage area lock switch works to lock and unlock. At the time that this occured, my autolock stopped working as well but the above Link didn't help to fix it. My horn beeped and all, but i still have no autolock/power locks.
