Hello again!
For those of you who have seen my posts about the auto to manual swap it was a success.... mostly! Everything works well there is a rev limit at 3k rpm i guess as a safety for the auto trans (still using auto wiring and computer). The only problem is the speedo doesnt work. I hooked the oss sensor to the vss on the manual extension housing and got the gauge to move but it just keeps going up as long as you move then when you stop it goes back down. I need this inspected pronto. So i was thinking about removing the stock gauge cluster since the oil pressure gauge doesnt work. I will be using a gps speedo and just new gauges for everything else. I have a vague memory of reading on here somewhere that the computer needs to get a signal from the gauge cluster? Is this true. My question is can I remove the stock gauge cluster with out causing computer issues?
