Restoring Faded Plastic

Anybody know a cheap and easy way to restore old faded trim plastic? Thank you in advance

I do not think that the material is plastic. Not sure what type of metal. You do not need specific plastic bonding paint.

Clean it, lightly sand it, then tape and spray paint.

Should look much better and last a few years ... then just repeat.

I thought that was plastic for years. When I had my rig repainted by the dealer, I learned that it’s actually just black automotive paint on sheet metal.

I now wax it with the rest of the vehicle. I didn’t for the first 15 years and think that probably contributed to the faster fading.
