Same Engine Parts?

All I want to know, regardless if this sounds dumb or not, is if a 97 mercury mountaineer 5.0 V8, and a 97 explorer have the same engine, and if i can use explorer part or mustang engine parts on my 97 mountaineer?

YES and YES. About the only difference is the badge and the interior, Merc's generally had nicer interiors
