does anyone recommend or not recommend using it? this was the only product that i found that said that it actually removes gum and varnish from the transmission. it says that i don't have to, but should i drive it around for a while then flush the tranny out again? any thoughts on this product?

have you tried a search for "sea foam"? I have seen a bunch of posts about it, but don't know much about them.
