The show is intended mainly for automotive aftermarket parts buyers (shop owners) to see the latest and greatest toys to stock their shelves with. The general public isn't invited.

    Nice pics Rick!

This is the first pic I've been able to find of the car a couple of my Snap On customers built. It recieved the trophy for the best Mid-Sized GM vehicle.

I was there for the build up, every step of the way, from the raw Colorado truck to the finished interior stitching. They built that baby FAST as well... Only a couple weeks from beginning to end.

The entire rear half is tube, with air all around. The bed is totally welded, with filler panels to cover the new wheel wells. The body and paint was handled by Jeremy Thompson, of Goodguys, Louisville and the interior was done by Billy Scott of Scott Rods, Louisville. Great craftsman. I know that I got the call to deliver special tools after hours a couple of times so that thing could get built!

(Billy Scott also did the arm rest for the console in my 97 Explorer... pays to have friends that do great work!)

I had planned to go. I made my hotel reservations three months ago.

The night before the show Harrah's called me and said that my room wasn't going to be available because of construction. They said they would transfer my reservation to "Bill's Casino".

First off I've never heard of Bill's Casino. Second, I made my reservations at Harrah's for a reason. They are right on the monorail line which makes the trip to the convention center super easy. Bill's casino isn't on the monorail line, or even on the Las Vegas strip.

I said screw it and canceled my reservations.

I was looking forward to some pictures from this year :(

EDIT: And if I ever go back, I will do the same and get a room on the monorail line, I spent over an hour trying to leave the convention the first day. My foolish self thought I could drive.

I was looking for some pics from '08 when I realized I had never added 2011 to the list.
