Spindle Nut Upgrade

Now that I have repacked my own bearings for the first time I can see what everyone has been talking about the outer spindle nut coming loose and what not. Even though the warn kit to make the outer nut locking too is discontinued, wouldn't be fairly easy to drill and tap a few holes in the stock one for set screws just like the warn kit, and it could be used with the stock keyed washer. Has anyone tried this. I think I might if I have more problems with them coming loose.

It biggest broblem with that is that the nuts are hardened and could be very tough to drill and tap. Otherwise I don't see why it wouldn't work.
