Hi all
So about a week ago the starter started going out on my 302. finally it would just click as the starter would engage but not turn. so I swapped it out for a reman one (grocery store parking lot, FUN) and It then turns like mad but wouldn't fire. tried starting it more than a dozen times.
I switched a couple of the relays (5,7 and 6,9)under the hood out with each other, and then it cranked and started just fine. repeated starts for 24 hours. then it didn't. last night no start. switched them back, started. WTF!!
now it likes it if you take it out of park, put it back in, then crank to start. I think I'm gonna but all new relays tomorrow, but I feel I'm still missing something. Please help!
Thanks in advance,
Brian:roll:

You can test the relays, there is a detailed procedure in the haynes manual for it. However, seems to me like you have a connectivity issue. Grounding issues are very common so start there but I'd also check for broken wires that go to the starter and battery. Also, how's the starter solenoid?

is bad ground the best bet for intermitent problems?
