My gf has a 1998 ford explorer. it seems like i have to drop the steering column weekly because she loses the ability to shift into reverse. There is a star bolt on bottom, back end of the colum that i have to tighten by laying on my back and reaching up. Has anyone ever dealt with this before? if so, how do you fix it.
**i found a bolt similar to the one i spoke about above in the cup holder. I dont know where it came from though. can anyone direct me to a diagram of the steering column that i can use to see where this bolt goes? thanks in advance.
