Sub and Amp

Does anyone know why my sub is so low? can bearly hear it. i have a kenwood dnx5120 head unit. just bought a kenwood kac-1502s and an 8in kicker comp 8 sub. i just wasted about 3 hours wireing and all that only to find out you can bearley hear it. any one know whats up??

Are you using the factory amp? If so I doubt it puts out enough watts to drive the sub. That sub needs a minimum of 100w.

did you adjust the gain in the amp?
made sure to use the audio out from the HU and not the audio in?

Thanks for the reply i got it working. I just left it out to test it out but once in the box i got the bass i wanted.
