One thing I want to add, although it seems as though this may be going off without a hitch, this has been no easy road since I started working on this Shelby GT500.
It came from two other shops with stuff screwed up on it or not even finished and some shotty work done to it to say the least.
In the time Rick has bought this car, 2/3's of it, it has been down for work on it, and/or me trying to straighten **** out.
It's still not without it's bugs, we left on the whim I cold pull some magic and make this thing run for this event, I'm
STILL fighting problems even as of today with the tune, I hope to have this cleared up, it's really been putting a strain on me to make some magic happen.
Coupled with issues with the trailer jack, and snapping some hold down straps, of course fogetting the tools you'd need the most that you wouldn't have though about till you needed them.
To rewind a little I remember back in the very early 90's I got a video tape about what was then called the Blue Blocker 100 and watched in awe at R.J. Gotleb piloted his Donovon Powered Camaro to a 202mph average speed dreaming that some day I could see this in person, now almost 20years later here I am, we may be having problems but WOW! I almost can't belive it.
As discouraging as this maybe, I'm not giving up, and I'm going to push to get this GT500 to the starting line to make the event, I'm almost sure Rick has been bitting his tounge more than I can imagine, and I know he too is really stressing about all this.
None the less we're going to have a good time, and I hope to provide you with some better pictures and try and get off some videos too.
And a big thanx to all you EF members following along, you know I love it when I can bring you into something you may or may not be able to attend or obtain, but thanx for the support for us and our adventure

PS: on this trip I have seen some awesome places to either go wheeling or take a trophy truck and just go bonkers!!
