I have a Explorer Sport with the 4.0 SOHC with bad timing chain cassettes. I am going to replace the engine with a 4.0 that is in a '94 Ranger. Is their any known problems before I get into this?

Thanks in advance

The Ranger would be a OHV motor wouldn't it?

Might be a royal pain if you in an area that doesn't emissions testing (and how they do it)

I believe it is a OHV. I think the manifold needs to be changed. Was wondering if there are wiring harnesses or ECM's that need to be changed also.
I have a 8 bolt flywheel also.

The Ranger is probably a six bolt flywheel. It's also OBD-I, and the Ex is OBD-II, so you may have some wiring/ sensor issues.
