I just went up to Tellico yesterday,(12/28), on my fourwheeler with a group of budies and found out a bit of information that might be useful to anyone who might be going up anytime in the next 3 months.

Starting in Jan. and running through March, instead of paying $5 to use the trails per day, it will be $10 per day. They do this to try and slow up traffic up there during the winter months and also to keep from closing the trails down all together.

A little bit of trail info about trail 8. When coming to trail 8 from the 4 via trail 6, that is not after crossing Fain's Ford, when 8 and trail 7 split, about 50 yards past the split, still on 8, there are 2 huge mud holes. The first one maybe done with about a 33" or bigger, but the one after it, is about 3' deep and then there is a 3' climb out, depth maybe exagerated just a little bit, but it is really deep in that hole. We didn't even try to get the fourwheelers through it. Not to mention, a Jeep got in it, he was on 36" boggers, almost got stuck, and backed out of it, cause he couldn't do it. So if your going up there, until they fixed it, I'd stay clear of trail 8, unless your are winching or are big enough for it.

Other than that, there were a few trees that had fallen across some of the trails, especially on trail 3, some are low enough to were a vehicle cannot fit under them, but if you carry an ax or saw, you can be kind to others be clearing them out of the way and continue on.

Hope this information will help in any trips that may or may not be planned in the next three months.
