Have owned a Gen II, III, and currently a IV. Am thinking of making the leap to a Gen V. Any suggestions? What should I look out for? My priorities are dependability and price. There are a bunch of them within 50 miles of here at dealer's. They seem to be in the +/- 5 yrs old, and around 75K miles......priced at +/- 18 grand.

This question has been brought up several times here already. Using the 'Search' feature in the upper right you may find a few. Here are just a few threads that may be of interest;

There are more. Also keep in mind that you will find many more negative comments than positive ones since many members have come across this Forum due to issue they were having. FYI, I have not had any issues with the 2 Explorers I have leased. Not a high mileage guy though. I suggest that scrolling through the various sub forums here may give you ideas as well. Good luck.
