TPS 99 Explorer 4.0

throttle positioning sensor replacement.
I just don't get it. I know the sensor is bad so I went to replace it and the new one rotates clockwise but the throttle turns clockwise too so when installed it would be trying to rotate counter clockwise and the throttle sensor cant go backwards.
What am I doing wrong here.
Please help soon.

Honestly you got me. I can't for the life of me remember what I did. I think I tried to advance the throttle and then put it on. thinking this would rotate it correctly, but that was NOT right. I must have just fooled around with it until it worked. MAN I wish I could remember! I hate that when I draw a blank!! Sorry Man!

The stores sell the OHV and SOHC each others TSP. Rotation is reversed for the different engines.
