For anyone headed west on Interstate 10, it is still backed up starting at Palm Drive.

And is completely closed at Indian Canyon

I was going to post up earlier about this but got sidetracked. It was a charter bus that plowed into the back of a big rig trailer. The bus was coming from the Red Earth Casino near the Salton Sea. It's pretty bad...13 killed and 30 or so injured.

We made it home safe in spite of an hour detour in the slums of Palm Springs. Had a blast as always. Great to see everyone!

Char and I made it home safe and sound. We had a fantastic time this weekend.:chug:

We made it home about a hour and half ago. Good trip though

Crazy Rick made it home before me and I passed him coming out of Red Earth after he filled up.

It took us a hour to go a mile, from the back up.:banghead:

Just got home as well. Thanks for a great weekend. See you all in January.

Just made it home... Was a great long weekend....

I have a few pictures and a video I'll try to upload in the morning.....

I wasn't filling up. I needed to buy a tail light bulb for the trailer. The drive out to camp killed both the left side trailer bulb and the left front turn signal bulb at the same time. I did a lighting check before leaving home and everything was good.

Sorry to hear about your long ride home. I saw the wreck on the news. Absolutely horrible. The bus drove 15 feet into the big rig's trailer:eek:

Time for LED.

I just swapped out the tail light camper bulbs before I left. Much brighter, and they will probably last the rest of the life of the camper.

I'm glad I made the impromptu trip out there yesterday. Looks like the new campsite is a hit with everyone.

It was another wheeling trip for the books. Lots of light drama. RJ made a surprise visit Friday late afternoon, and couldn't resist the call of the dirt. He ran the night run in his stock BII no radio no aux lights. At the end of the run I did a mental head count looked around "Where is RJ?" No radio no aux lights, everyone back in camp. There is a lesson here. One simple mistake.... It all ended well, we all laughed.

On a more fun note Little Miss Stic-o 2 got to drive the JP mobile all though the camp, at the ripe old age of 6 everyone cheered her on and the smile on her face was priceless.

We didn't get home until after 4:30 it was the longest 3 hour tour ever! Took 6 hour plus

Ok, I did get lost and stuck, but I was within walking distance to camp... I just didn't know it :D

But it was fun. Can't wait till I make it out for a full weekend :dpchug:

I'm glad I didn't take that way home. Horrible to hear about that accident, too. There was a little traffic on my route, but it only took, 3 hours to get home.

Awesome trip as usual and I'm glad I was able to make it. I'll get my pictures up soon and I'm looking forward to getting back out there.

The new mesa turned out to be dog heaven. The older dogs set a scent perimeter and quickly schooled the younger ones on camp dog rules. When the golden orb came out, all dogs bowed to its greatness and gave chase. I am sure that they all slept well when they got home(mine slept in till 8 am)

The bonfire was awesome(we don't do campfires out here).
Can't wait for the next adventure in January!!
