This past weekend i went wheelin up in grayling, on saterday my drivers side wheel was making some noise that i thought was the u joint was going bad. so that night i go to take the wheel off to check it out.
Well it turned out that i twisted to outer axle shaft. i still had 4WD. it peened over the spindle so we couldn't get the axle nut off.
so we cut the end of the spindle off and the ended up breaking the inner nut trying to get it off. it also took out the inner bearing. i had spare bearing and seal and the guy that was showing us around had spare spindle nuts. got it put togother and didn't wheel on sunday.
i drove it home 150 miles with no problems.
