There's word of a tragedy from Southern Saskatchewan this morning.

Early reports say that two single pilot jets of the Snowbird aeronautic team have collided head-on, but details on casualties haven't been released.

The Canadian Forces will be holding a press conference at CFB Moose Jaw later today. The aerobatic team is based out of Mossbank near Moose Jaw.

The 431 Air Demonstration Squadron consists of approximately 80 Canadian Forces personnel, 24 of whom comprise the show team that travels during the show season. The show team has a total of 11 aircraft, nine for aerobatic performances, including two solo aircraft, and two as spares, flown by the team coordinators.

Sorry to hear that. Our squadron works with them on a yearly basis. The families are in our thoughts and prayers. On another thought, it is amazing we don't loose more aircraft then we do.
