gmanpaint . .. . It's the "out" brace for the slider.

It's not welded to the frame, just a "U" bend slipped over the frame.

There are also "in" braces which are welded to the slider and have bump stops against the frame rail.

And it works!

This was a bone jarring smash at Moab.

I installed new Sensa-tracs on the front of my '02 Sport Trac, then added tow hooks from an '01 Sport, and a Ford bug shield. 101_2100 (640x360).jpg

Oh I still have plenty to do. It will not be wheeling until the Smorr meet.

I just want to take it out every now and then just to show it off to the jeeps lol just kidding....well not really they have been very proud since summer started!

'01 & '02 Sport Tracs,
I intended to change plugs in my Sport Trac yesterday. Moved it into the driveway about 10 am, got my tools out, and immediately ran into a problem that stopped the project cold. See, I bought the plugs 3 months ago .................... I spent a good portion of yesterday looking for them, and I still haven't found them. They'll probably turn up just before I leave town for the 4th.

Been there....

Went out to start the Ex - battery is done. Original battery lasted 8 years. Never had a battery last that long, Ever. So I bought a Motorcraft direct from dealer-11 years ago. Will pickup another Motorcraft from dealer this week.

In the last week I've gotten the trans/tcase back in my 94, bought a 97 xlt for my girlfriend and dropped the tank and did a brake line on that. That adds up to 3 in my stable, only one of which runs at the moment. -.-

A few days ago I picked up my 96 4x4 EB after having the trans overhauled. Seems to be shifting fine now.
Today I got around to installing the front Rancho RS5000 shocks. Got the front tires changed also, Hankook Dynapro AS.
