A few days in Ocean City, Md turned into a feeding frenzy. Everything from seafood to pizza and got to have Thrasher’s Fries from the boardwalk followed by some cold beers later. I did not think about taking food pics until the end. D177D75F-949D-45B6-A373-71AB6A59AE37.jpeg 955C560D-821E-4529-8F88-7D9327ABFDD9.jpeg Good times!

Firehouse subs ... Nashville hot smoked brisket, on a toasted cornbread bun. Sweet southern heat chips, and a coke.

Local grocery store had 80% lean hamburger on sale, so fried some of that, and seasoned it with Taco Bell taco seasoning. Rolled that up in locally made tortillas with Wholly guacamole, sharp cheddar, with some Cholula on top.

    Mexican for me too.

Steak fajitas with some hot cheese, and my favorite very hot, hot sauce.

Tried a new (to me) twist on the meatloaf tonight.

Philly Cheese Steak Meatloaf. Read a recipe for it, and it was pretty close to my cheese stuffed version, found on the first post here. Used Provolone slices I got thick sliced at the deli.

After making the mix with the veggies, bread crumbs, egg, seasonings, the meatloaf pan was filled about half way (maybe more), then layered the sliced cheese on top.

    meat loaf 1.jpg

Put the remainder of the mix on top, and baked it at 375* for 1hr-15 mins.

    Meat loaf 2.jpg

When the timer went off, more cheese slices on top, and a little parsley sprinkled on top. Back in the oven for another 15 mins.

    meat loaf 3.jpg

Cool thing with this pan, is not only does it keep the loaf out of the cooking juice, you can lift it out of the pan with the handles.

    Meat loaf 4.jpg

And served with some mashed taters, and french Baguette.

    Meat loaf plate.jpg

Was pretty tasty, and I would do it again someday.

    @gmanpaint, you have the recipe?

Me: took leftover roast, diced it up, thickened up the gravy and threw that in, served that over Oroweat multigrain toast and a nuked baked potato.

Side: Had some shredded coleslaw, so mixed up 3/4 cup white vinegar, 3/4 cup sugar, red pepper flakes, and celery seed.

Just follow the recipe in the 1st post here, combined with my philly post. Basically substitute the cheese with provolone, and swap the red sauce topping mix, with more provolone, and sprinkle some parsley on top.

Local grocery store had some Top Sirloin steaks marked down to $2.99/lb, so I took one of those, seasoned it with a steakhouse seasoning grinder blend, and grilled it to medium rare. Thin sliced it after resting, and put it into flour tortillas with some refried black beans.

Thick cut chops, stuffing, and cream corn. Big honking glass of iced tea.

Italian ice, in the cherry flavor.

While at my friend’s farm today these hens hanging around my X had no idea how close they came to making my bucket list! I guess this should be under “ E026504C-1A72-454C-8C68-6527CE696EB1.jpeg 07B03119-18B1-4431-B61B-7932F42A1915.jpeg 0FE4896E-568E-4DC6-81D0-5595C06F0337.jpeg what I almost had for dinner”. I settled for Cambell’s chunky sirloin veggie soup and a beer.
