    Guys,
I have a 97 Mounty AWD and I'm looking to change the looks a little. Can you guys help me with which Ford wheels (Mustang, Ranger, etc.) will fit? Does the spindle from the AWD interfere?
Also, if going to 17" rims, what kind of backspacing, rim width, and tire sizes are common?
Don't be afraid to show pics if you got 'em. ;)

    Thanks.
    Lou.

    Lou,
Your Mounty looks great! I have a 97 and want to do the same thing. What size tires did you get and did you have any trouble with them rubbing? Is your truck lowered at all?
    Thanks,
    Chalie R.

I'm not getting any rub with 272/60-17's. And it handles much better.
Here's a pic after I lowered it about 3/4" in front to have a nicer rake. I hope to drop the back 1" then adjust the front as necessary to have the same rake. [IMG]

Here's a pic of the Cobra, tbomb. :D

    Thanks tbomb, I appreciate it.
    BTW, I meant 275/60 -17's.

Just an update...I was underneath the vehicle and now see some marks on the swaybar from the tires rubbing. I guess when I looked before I hadn't gone from lock-to-lock. Looks very minor but I thought I'd let everyone know.

    Yomie...
I just got them from an individual that bought different rims for his 99 Cobra.

    Thanks Heath.
For some reason I always see 93 Cobras for sale, especially in the Atlanta area. Some for as low as $8500. Surely they were a little dogged, though. :D
