- 2007 Explorer
Over the last year or so, my 2007 Explorer has developed an intermittent wind tunnel sound under the hood which is especially loud when I push the accelerator. I have had a local mechanic 'fix' this three times. Each time, he says he replaces mouse eaten wiring, and each time the sound goes away for about a month.
This weekend, the sound is now more or less constant, and although my radiator fluids are full, the car threatens to overheat every minute or so.
I am at wits end. I really thought that the mechanic had ruled out everything else to get us to this point.
Thanks for any suggestions as to what is going on.
