62 year old ex-Plumber that has never paid a Mechanic to fix my stuff. Nothing against Mechanics, I just enjoy doing the work myself (most of the time). This is the 4th used Explorer I have bought. They have a bunch of problems, but are fairly easy to work on.
I bought a 96 xlt that the Auto Trans went out on, and that was the first transmission I ever rebuilt. I had to fabricate several tools during the proccess, but successfully made that repair and made a tidy profit when I sold it.
Since then I bought and sold a 98 Limited, and a 97 Limited. I bought the Sport I have now because I wanted something smaller, but with the XLT package like my 96.
I like this Sport alot and plan on keeping this one while buying up several parts cars (there are many out there!) to keep it alive.
My friends call me Captain Morgan but that handle was taken. So Captain n Coke will have to do.
