Many thanks to those who have previously helped me out with some simple stuff. I have a new issue. I had a garage re-gas my air con and from taht point the pump/compressor made a hideous noise. Obviously I was not pleased and to cut a very long story short, they siad it was my clutch/pulley bearings and stuff and I needed a new pump fitted at around $1000. It turns out after I took the jeep to another air specialist, that they drained off a surplus 1Kg of excess gas and guess what? Problem solved. Does anyone know what the UK spec for the quantity of gas is required for the air con system? This is a small system compared to the US version I am told. We have currently left 750g in the system.
