  • I bought a 2016 Explorer Limited last year and wanted to know is there something that I can download on a laptop to get the current SYNC 3? If so what are the steps/instructions to do so? Or what is the most updated version I can get on my vehicle? Would Love to use WAZE & ALEXA on it.

    Thank you, Brian
I saw you had some trouble shooting for the sync system I have a 2013 Ford Focus Electric it just recently stopped all sound and says no audio on the instrument cluster I’ve tried soft resets hard resets to no luck. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Greetings! Just purchase a 2015 Explorer. Love it...accept the AM radio is horrible. Pulls in the local AM station but that's it. Certified Technician looked at and replaced something...thought it was entire radio, but still had same preset stations when received back. Still horrible. He tuned it to the local AM channel to show it works after his fix but it's the same problem.
Hello, trying to troubleshoot an issue with the new iPhone 7 and Sync 2, running 3.4 or 3.5. Could you please send me a link to the 3.8 update? The Ford Owner's site doesn't show/allow the download for v3.8.

    Thank you.
    Hello FordIVTteam...
New owner of a 15' Limited here... I wanted to get some clarification. My Limited says I have CCPU 4.32.14073_ installed. Which I'm told is 3.7 I was wanting to install 3.8 for Siri, but after calling Ford (800-392-FORD), I was told that 3.8 has been pulled to fix bugs? Is this info true? Can you tell me the latest?

    Thanks!
Hello IVT Team! I have a '16 Sport and I love it. My Sport has some of the 401a options such as: Voice-activated Navi System + BLIS w/ Inflatable Rear Safety Belt Package with cross- traffic alert and auto-dimming rearview mirror and the Dual-panel Moonroof) Is the wiring for the other 401a options present in my Explorer and just not hooked up? Can I have those options added by a Ford mechanic aftermarket?
I was talking to my dealership today and asked them why my oil change on my new Explorer was not listed in my history report (sync). I got it several months ago. They told me that they have nothing to do with the vehicle history report and I would have to contact Sync or Ford on the issue.

So how can I make sure all the things I get done to my car are put in the history report, especially oil changes?

Also every history report I get it has in it under maintenance it has "Ford recommends I get the following in 20,000 miles" It list oil change and other stuff. Now why would they put 20,000 miles in there? I would never go 20,000 miles with out an oil change. Thanks for your time.
