  • Folding down the passenger back seat, you can fit three adults and a stokes streatcher or straight board, and still have more room for equipment. - Jeeps cant attest to that!
    '97 Explorer. 4-door. Control track 4x4. V6. Still Stock. My first 4x4.

I like the Explorer more than Jeep Cherokee, but I'm finding that it's going to cost $$$$$$$ to put 33x12.5's, 4"-6" lift, front & back hitches, some lights, and a roof rack. I DON'T want to be a mall hopper, but am looking for an awesome woods 4x4; rocks no bigger than a football or pumpkin, water thigh deep, mud not too bad. I realize I dont have a truggie.

    - - - - I need some feedback - - -
What's the way to go??? Is the front end so delicate on the Explorer like my local off road shop tells me? Tell me that I don't have to get a smaller square-boxy Jeep.

And, hey... the economy is what the economy is and my wallet is what my wallet is; Where can I find "good" used tow hitches, roof rack, skid plates, and stuff??? - somebody has bought new to upgrade and needs to get rid of old one.

    Keep-on keep'n on
