I have a couple of the steel lines running from the radiator/trans cooler to the transmission and discovered they have one of two splits in them. Not big splits but enough that I they may drip here or there.
I'm wondering if I could JB Weld these two splits in the lines. Normally I'd go to the LKQ yard and buy a pair but since I can't go anywhere I figured I'd see if this is a viable repair. What do y'all think?

You can also use a tubing cutter and cutout the damaged section
Clean up the ends and repair with rubber hose and double hose clamps
Hose must be able to handle transmission fluid

Good ideas, thanks! The splits are towards the rear of the lines, probably around where the engine oil filter goes (not exactly sure since I found the damage after the lines and engine were removed from the truck.
Some additional questions -
Should I attempt to install a trans filter in this location or is there a better location?
Does anyone know offhand the size of the line?
I'm looking at the PermaCool systems. Any experience with these?
thanks again

Good idea, those online filters look just right. Thanks for all the help, guys!
