I got her about 3 years ago at the beginning of 2018 when I turned 18,when i got her she looked like a basically straight from factory eddie Bauer,we got it back when i was 6 in 2006 and it’s been through my mom my sis (through college) and now to me ;) going on 300,000 currently at 299,393. She has dual exhaust great sound and so much fun on downshifts,led lights,underglow,white interior and license plate light also white running board lights,now she has smoked out tail and headlights,headers,cold air intake,Pirelli tires ect.... not gonna go on too long just she’s a lot of fun im never getting rid of her but im getting a sports car a genesis coupe 3.8 for something fast and more fits my personality and age but im still gonna drive her.

Welcome and beautiful vehicle

That's a beautiful blue color that most people really like. I had those exact Scorpion tires as the last set on my 98 Mountaineer. I've moved from 265/60/18's, to that 255/55/18 size. They fit well and the handling is better than stock tall profile tires.

Have you seen any of the Saleen XP8's that were made in 98-01, only about 125 were made? Here's a blue XP6(there were a couple V's) in almost the same color as yours;

Yes, I actually recently had a lot of trouble running around trying to find some good tires, as you can see the continentals in the pics with the green lights were way too small about 225/25 if I remember correctly but i ran those for about 3 months great tires just hated the size.when I went to get new ones I ended up spending a week or 2 running around returning tires and going back and forth between people saying they can’t work on non oem Explorers and people that didn’t even have the tires, so I ended up buying the new ones you see stupidly for about 700 at my age and income it’s dumb but I want to treat my car right ;) I did look at the saleens stock tire size and used that as reference for my current ones btw. But on the saleen I’ve known about them for quite some time I really want one like even after i get financially successful I plan on getting that red and gold one I keep seeing poping up that’s most likely my ideal spec I like. I actually brought the same floor petals that the xp8 has and put em on mine, I just wish I could get the wing and front bumper from the saleen but there’s none for sale it looks like.

I have the Continental DWS tires now, they are the best for traction I've had, but the tire wear is poor. I usually get 30k miles or more, but the DWS tires I might be lucky to see 20k.

BTW, be patient and stick around for the long term. The Saleen parts used to come up often on eBay, a few per year. Now it will be rare, but the complete trucks are getting worn out. Some people are going to sell them for less and less, or wrecks will have parts pop up. They are too expensive though, all but one part has been crazy high. Back 10+ years ago an average cost was around $500 for the big items, and the side skirts I've seen once at about $125 each. I'd still like to find a good rear bumper, and the side skirts. I have a mangled rear bumper and it may not be fixable.

Here's a red XP8 with the carbon fiber hood. That thing I've read of selling for close to $1k a couple of times. I'm not thrilled with that hood design, so I don't watch for that. The Recaro XP8 seats would be sweet to find, but those are also super rare.
