I've read about the wireless accessory keypad - that doesn't interest me.

I searched a bit, and couldn't find any info about adding the factory keypad to the driver's door on a vehicle NOT originally equipped. It looks like DB5Z7820, DB5Z7820555AA, DB5Z7820555AC, & BB5Z7820555AA will fit & work for me, and I can either look up the wiring or probably find a JY door harness to cannibalize, since I'm sure mine doesn't have the connector. But what about activating it? Can that be done with ForScan? I've read several ForScan threads, but I don't remember seeing anything about the factory keypad.

I'm looking to do this same upgrade on my 18 FPIU.
As far as I've seen, all BCMs have a keycode assigned and programmed on them, even on PIUs and other vehicles without keypads. There may be some flags that need to be flipped to make it work, but I don't expect big issues there.
The big remaining hurdle is wiring. I'm not sure if the PIU door harness includes or omits the plug for the keypad. Sometime in the near future I'll be opening up my door panel for some other work, and I'll share what I find.

I had mine off for LEDs, and didn't see any unused connectors.

I've done more digging and found that the blue C2280E on my BCM doesn't have the keypad wires.

So I added them from a JY pigtail.
