    Spiffing-Up the Rig

I am working with 59" lengths which is too short to complete a side. I worked the rear door best I could to try to blend with the front door and not repeat as much of the pattern. I am no pro, but my work is OK for the ole gal. I got a few folds but getting better, ha, should have started on the...

    Spiffing-Up the Rig

I am in the process of wrapping the lower doors with the same camo pattern I got on the seats. I need a warmer day and time to complete it.

    Will Be Blown Again!

Naw, nope, not ready to run E85. I got to get-out and find some E85 and test it. I think the closest pump is 5 and half miles away. Finding E85 and testing it is a bit of a pain. I am concerned with cylinder lubrication, so will probably run a mix of E85 with gas. I am going to do some more...

    Will Be Blown Again!

I got the 3 1/4" pulley for 9lbs of boost and I am headed-out for a shorter belt to drive it. I should be getting a couple of bottles designed to test E85 today. I got a tune ready to try with the 6lbs pulley first, then 9lbs. I got about half a tank of Premium to burn through...

    Will Be Blown Again!

I can see that traveling could suck for E85 availability and certainly mileage. I think that for around town this would be fun to set-up. I can already see that 9lbs might be best as 10lbs puts it up close to 500ftlbs of torque. I don't want to tear-up the new tranny or running gear.

    Will Be Blown Again!

I got out an got some good data yesterday. The injectors are currently maxing at about 51% duty cycle at WOT and 5200rpm. I got enough pump and injector to run E85. Tweecer's owner broke-out a Function in the tuning strategy for me to adjust stoic for E85. Stoic for E85 is 9.77and max power...

    95' 2.3 Ranger turbo??

No 2.3's in Explorer's. A quick search yielded this: https://www.explorerforum.com/forums/search/1139777/?q=turbo+2.3&o=relevance I think you would find more help at TheRangerStation.com

    Will Be Blown Again!

The snout is roughly 10 1/4" or around 260mm. I keep thinking about 60-75 horses/foot pounds of torque by running E85. The cooling of the ethanol and high octane will allow much more timing and boost. The thing is I probably wont run it but for fun around town as It is not available everywhere...

    Will Be Blown Again!

I got to measure the snout. My butt-dyno says I picked up power with these injectors. I have been able to tune them more precisely. The 3 7/8" Pulley is great. It provides about 6lbs of boost and allows me enough throttle, down low, to keep it out of boost for mileage.

    Will Be Blown Again!

I finally got around to installing better injectors, not easy as the blower had to come off and I thought the new injectors were longer and wouldn't fit without modify the bypass. They are the same length o-ring to o-ring! I should have done this long ago cause I had installed cheap, single...

    Will Be Blown Again!

I agree, Kenne Bell sells snouts and I have seen a few around the internet for sale. I wonder if adding a longer snout would allow the Mustang kit to work, along with adding a custom crank pulley.....................The Crank Pulley addition was a machine shop trip, not cheap.

    Will Be Blown Again!

Yes, I would need to know if the fuel system is up to the task. I think there is enough pump and injector to do this but I would verify that. I also need to make sure components would hold-up to 85% ethanol. There are composition changes in the amount of Ethanol used in E85 at the pump. The...

    Will Be Blown Again!

I could run 10lbs and maybe more with a 50/50 blend of Premium with E85. That equates to 94+ octane. I am sure mileage would drop, not just because of the ethanol but because I wouldn't keep my foot out of it. That's 165+ horses and it would cost about the same, currently, than running 100%...

    Will Be Blown Again!

Uhhh, blew this tank of gas regarding tracking mileage...................The gas savings of a little better mileage or dollars saved going to a lower grade fuel is not worth it to me. I topped-up with Premium and put on the 3 1/2" pulley for shi*'s n grins. It pulled hard and was registering...

    Will Be Blown Again!

Back here again, diverted myself with a paint and interior fix-up thread, Spiffing-Up the Rig and a cooling thread. Blown & Ventilated......................... My latest thoughts on supercharging, daily driving, mileage/gas prices....................How much boost? I have a 4 1/8" pulley on...

    Blown & Ventilated

It appears that the hardware to control fans is present in the Mustangs EECV's not this Explorer EEC..............Jumped the gun with pin-outs..............Tweecer owner/tuner had me datalog with a register enabled for Fan Off, Fan Low and Fan High. It never changed from displaying Fan Off.

I tested the pin outs I added to no avail. I have posted on the Tweecer site for some help.

Anyone using a Tweecer for tuning?

I had cut-out a stock mounting face plate since mounting the Tweecer moves the EECV forward. I grabbed another faceplate/mount today, removed the mounting studs, added two bolts long enough to reach through the two stacked faceplates and it came out looking this:

    Blown & Ventilated

I made a run to the PickNPull. I got another EECV cover/mounting plate to place over the existing one since the EECV sticks-out a bit with the tuner mounted. I also scored a passenger side vent, the old one was missing a vane. I found the old EECIV Pin Outs I had were larger. So I also grabbed...

    Blown & Ventilated

New A/C installed and no fade at idle, well at 85 degrees ambient temp and with 4000CFM being pushed through the condenser now! I think it will extend the fan life and charging system by utilizing the EEC's on off functions for speed and ECT. I got a couple of old EEC harness pins with...

Anyone using a Tweecer for tuning?

The Tweecer cables can easily get smashed-up inside there. That makes it stick-out further. I carefully pull wires from inside as I move the EEC back into position. The EECV hangs-out the front a bit. I discarded the faceplate, used a little length of weather seal across the top, and...

    Blown & Ventilated

Thanks for the help! I got to get my A/C fixed. Then I can get back to running/tuning the cooling fans. My next job is installing new A/C - compressor, condenser, receiver/dryer and orifice tube plus I will flush the hoses and evaporator which are relatively new if needed.....I had previously...

    Blown & Ventilated

Yup, I don't understand all this, have asked for some help on the Tweecer Forum and plan on doing more research. I found these Functions for "Fan Control" Some of the existing values don't make sense, the temps are high as is the load value. Fan High Speed Enabled 0 Fan Low Speed Enabled 0 High...

    Blown & Ventilated

Low and high for my 5 fan set-up could be used to run 3 of 5 on "Low" and add 2 for "High". My Tweecer Tuner has switches to turn on low and high speed fan control and many more Functions to control them. I see these so far, in the Strategy: High and Low speed fan on and off by ECT temp. Low...

Supercharger install 9+lb boost! Full build

$10k for a Supercharged SUV with a new engine and transmission sounds good, but I probably have also done $10k in my own labor...................................I have enjoyed working on it and that makes it worth it to me.
