Yea doing the re bleed again now

So I just replaced my pads and resurfaced rotors. Bleeding the brakes is not a hard thing I have a rock hard petal while bleeding but as soon as I fire it up and the brakes get vacuum assist they are straight mush. All the way to the floor and hardly stop the car. Car was perfectly fine...

Yes a slight ticking is ok. It is driven off a lobe on the camshaft.

Rock auto has the motorcraft struts and I tried KYB strut tops and they failed right where the strut bolts up to them. Ordered the motorcraft strut tops from a online Ford parts store And everything is good again.

Finally got the engine back together. Had to order a new crank bolt and lost a coil pack bolt. Runs so good now! So smooth and quiet. And my fuel mileage is back up! Took a couple months working on and off and sometime not touching it for days. Lots of life getting in the way.

All the work To get to the chain I would replace the water pump even with just 84k but that’s just me.

Added a few pictures. Will work on a how to post detailing what I did step by step when I am all done and it’s back together correctly lol.

I had already done that but needed verification from someone who had done it already I prefer to hear real world experience over potentially incorrect websites. Ford is useless as they will not give people any part numbers so I could verify them myself.

Yea I found that one but it says without turbo? Does that matter? And there is a -d and -e for left and right.

I have started my timing chain/water pump replacement. It’s much fun!!!

So I had to finally pull the trigger and do the timing chain and phasers on my PIU. Kept getting the P0016 and it would come and go but decided dig in and do the replacement. Read the other threads about the job and was ready for a fun time. So far I have the motor torn down to the point where...

Any seals or orings replaced while you were in there? New water pump?

What chain kit did you go with? Phasers from Ford?

What timing chain set did you use? Looking for a parts list of everything to do the water pump And timing set in one go. I am pulling motor to do this as well.

So I have been looking for the excel sheet with all the parts needed to do the water pump and timing chain/phasers? Anyone have that readily available? Thanks

Agreed on the above questions. I’m about to have to do this more for the timing components.

Has anyone had to do a timing chain on their PIU? I am in a no start condition now. So I will have to dive into this repair.

Yea if I attempt to do the chain I will do the water pump as well. I am going over all the threads on how to do the chain and pump now. Just wanted the best chain kit possible.

so i am getting the P0016 code and the consensus that the Timing chain has stretched or as one guy pointed out an issue with one of the phasers. I have 131k and I think I will just do the timing chain and phasers and guides and tension era. Just wanting to know what the best kit out there is...

Yea it’s bugging me because it just started out of the blue. I haven’t dug into what’s involved with changing the belts yet on this. But if it’s a belt or tensioner or something along those line then that would be great.
