How do I find out? Is ther somthing on the unit to tell me?

I got as far as removing the ram, hard drive and cd rom. I could not find the motherboard batt. I am guessing it is under the keyboard. I was a little nervous taking anything else apart. This is my first time messing with a laptop. Right now it put back together with no change.

I am out of warranty. The unit is a few years old. Trying to fix it myself first, if I can't i"ll bring it to someone and pay.

it does sound like it is starting to boot up, but then it just gets stuck. Is there any type of reset for the cd drive?

I used it this morning. The only problem I have had was with internet explorer. Every so often I would lose my conection.

I just tried to open windows update in IE and I got the message that I don't have appropriate permissions. I'm set up as an administrator.

I just got the hoses for both rear sides for $23 total. I have had the car for 3 years and have not had the rear brake hoses replaced yet. So $23 is well worth it.

It's the drivers rear disk on my wifes 91 Buick regal. Thanks for all the reply's, I am going to get new hoses just to be sure.

That's what I mean. I have rear wheel disks, so it is not pulling to one side. How can you tell if the brake hose itself is no good?
