I can't be 100% sure it is due to security system, VW is diesel - may be is related too, but the objective fact is the car won't start after 5 days in the garage with relatively new battery. Security system is "Ituran", although I am not sure their systems marketed in USA are of the same kind...

Hi, We are going to trip for 15 days. I can leave the car (Limited 2012) on long term parking lot near the airport. They have optional service of "periodically turning your vehicle" to recharge the battery. The car has aftermarket security system installed (can't be insured without it here)...

@jrmexplorer As part of another problem solving they did "something" - at least master reset, and the problem is gone. Everything indexes and plays just like before.

Update: When I left the car in the service center this morning , I demonstrated photocopied pages from user guide, where radar location is clearly marked. They got replacement sensor, installed it, somehow (don't know why) decided the original sensor was OK and reinstalled it back. I hope...
