    After market seat brackets?

http://corbeau.com/ford-explorer-92-01-seat-brackets.html Anyone used after market seat brackets from Corbeau in a 93 (or other first gen) Explorer? Do they bolt right in?

    A/C control cables

I'm looking for the two cables that connect the A/C control deck to the actual parts that move. The connectors on mine became brittle and broke away and my jury-rigging has made the controls hard to operate and ineffective. I thought LMC sold them (I seem to recall them being about $40/ea)...

    Exhaust pressure / Starting issue?

It sounded weird to me, too. But the timing was awfully coincidental. It seems more like a starter going out to me.

    Exhaust pressure / Starting issue?

Is it possible for a starting issue to be caused by a change in the exhaust system? I recently had the exhaust on my 93 XL replaced. Cut everything from the headers back off and new pipe welded in. This included losing the cat entirely as it needed to be replaced and I've always just had it...

Orifice tube direction / effect if backwards?

Well - All of the fittings have been updated for R134a. And the system was totally empty because the evaporator's low side metal pipe was broken completely off. There was no Freon in the system at all.

Orifice tube direction / effect if backwards?

My brother-in-law did it, so unfortunately I do t know for sure. My understanding is the system holds Just shy of three pounds, though.

Orifice tube direction / effect if backwards?

If the system has freon in it now, I can't just pop that joint back open, can I?

Orifice tube direction / effect if backwards?

No real prior experience dealing with A/C. Brother in law was helping... He had some. I still think I put that orifice in backwards. Yes, we drew a vacuum on the system, because it wouldn't take any at all at first. Old orifice had all sorts of gunk and grit on it.

Orifice tube direction / effect if backwards?

How do you add Pag oil to the system? I thought the Freon had the oil in it.

Orifice tube direction / effect if backwards?

I just replaced my A/C evaporator and accumulator/drier. But I'm pretty sure now that I have it all together that I put the new orifice tube in backwards. What is the net effect if I did this? When I began charging the system, the compressor kicked on for a bit, but now does not. There...

Where Is The A/C Orifice Tube Located?

What happens if you put the new orifice tube in backwards? I'm unsure what way is the correct way?

    What is this vacuum line?

It did that for a couple of days, but seems (relatively) fine today.

    What is this vacuum line?

I found this vacuum line like this when I went to add oil to my truck the other day. It seems obvious where it should hook in, so I did. That day, it started running rough. Surging during acceleration, sputtering out the tailpipe. What is this line?

    Need a replacement drivers seat

Broke down and bought a seat from Amazon. It bolted up almost immediately with no modifications to the bracket or the seat, and no need for an adapter. Here's what I bought: The only thing is that I ditched the sliding arm that the seat belt was mounted on. No where to fit it to the new...

    Need a replacement drivers seat

Yeah - I'm definitely finding this to be true, but I love this stupid thing. And vinyl appeals to me from a practical standpoint. I got my door situation all straightened out at this point, too. Thanks! Paul

    Need a replacement drivers seat

Thanks, guys. While I could troll the salvage yards, in all honesty I'd prefer something new. Do you think these could be made to work? http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B002L1EQII

    Need a replacement drivers seat

Well - After 22 years, the driver's seat in my 93' XL has given up the ghost. It's got a permanent gangsta lean due to a broken seat frame. The sheet metal there is so thin that re-welding it didn't help or hold, so I need to replace it. Anyone know where I can buy one online? Not having...

    Fuel efficiency

Thanks, FR. I guess I'll put one on order, then and send back the O2 sensors. That's half the cost of the ICM anyway... so helps to mitigate the cost to some degree. The truck IS 22 years old now, so it makes sense that many of the original parts would simply be going out over time. I've...

    Fuel efficiency

I honestly have no idea off-hand. I'll have to look it up and see.

Is that the "Friction modifier": http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B000NU5LP6 ?

    Fuel efficiency

Is there any way to test this piece before throwing $180 at it? Also, is it one of those parts that I really should invest in the Motorcraft version vs. the Standard Motors on at $60 cheaper?

    Fuel efficiency

Is one bottle enough to fill it?

    O2 sensor replacement (harness access)

Yikes. That makes this project considerably more "project-y". LOL. Thanks for the tips. Guess this will have to wait until next weekend.

    O2 sensor replacement (harness access)

Here's a picture for reference: You can see the plugs on the left in this picture for reference. It's so far back there I can barely get my hand to it to even grab the wire. And this is only the driver's side plug. I have no idea where the passenger side ends up.
